You're on This Journey Too

When someone you love loses a limb, your life changes too. There are new routines to learn, appointments to keep, and worries you might not say out loud. It's a lot to carry, and it can feel like no one around you really gets it.

Care Partners Social Hour is a relaxed online caregiver support group just for you: spouses, partners, parents, friends, and family caregivers. Once a month we meet on Zoom to talk, share ideas, or simply listen. No pressure, no formal agenda. Just people who understand.

You spend so much of your energy caring for someone else. It's okay to take an hour for yourself.

Common questions

Frequently Asked

What is a care partner?

Anyone who supports someone living with limb loss or limb difference: a spouse or partner, parent, adult child, sibling, friend, or family caregiver. If you're walking alongside someone on this journey, you're a care partner.

Do I have to live in Oregon?

No. We meet on Zoom, so you can join from anywhere in Oregon (or beyond). Times are listed in Pacific Time.

Is there a cost to attend?

No. Care Partners Social Hour is completely free, thanks to the donors and partners who support Power On With Limb Loss.

What if I'm not comfortable sharing?

That's completely okay. Many people listen for a while before they share, and listening has value too. Keep your camera off if you'd like.

Can my loved one with limb loss join too?

This hour is set aside just for care partners, so you can speak freely. Your loved one is always welcome at our monthly support group meetings, and so are you.

I'm a paid caregiver. Is this group for me?

Yes. If you care for someone living with limb loss, you're welcome here.
