POWER ON WITH LIMB LOSS

Working Together to Gain Independence and Happiness!

Each year in the United States 180,000 people become amputees.

Our purpose is to make sure that everyone gets the support they need. We partner with and support amputees and others with limb loss in our community by providing three main service programs.

Our 2024 Discover Conference was a big success! Thank you to Keynote speaker Jessica Cox, and to our amputee community and supporters who attended. Each year we strive to make this event better than the last and this year is no exception!

Amputee Peer Visits

We are Amputee Coalition and Ampower Certified visitors and Peer Visitor Trainers. Amputee peer visitors can consult with pre-amputees and/or amputees (and their families) at hospitals or clincs. This provides support and camaraderie from someone who has first-hand knowledge of what it is like to be an amputee.

Outdoor Events & Challenges

Through trying and overcoming physical challenges we gain new awareness of our mental and physical abilities and grow our potential. The advice we give to people every day is keep moving. From daily actives like walking or gardening to scheduled events like the mud run, surf trips, all help to further our progress and maintain a positive outlook.

Monthly Support Meetings

Support Meeting for Amputees and individuals with Limb Loss are offered monthly through Power On With Limb Loss.jpg

Discovering Our Potential

Created around those with limb loss or physical challenges, our Annual Discover Conference is our largest event and an amazing opportunity for amputees and their families, and support groups to come together and lift one another up. We shine light on our accomplishments challenge ourselves to reach new goals and overcome new activities.

Give Potential

Our participants strive to reach new levels of endurance, strength and resilience every opportunity they get. Year’s ago when I was in a motorcycle accident I faced similar life changes that forced me to not only discover new ways to do things but also new ways to challenge myself to do anything without limitations. Without generous private donations, grants and sponsorships our program would lack the necessary resources to support our inspiring experiences.
We invite you to make an impact in the lives of individuals discovering their potential with a gift.

Together, We Power On!

Community Matters! All of life’s challenges and gifts are shaped by who is in our circle of support. Our healthcare providers and family are crucial but you cannot underestimate the value of talking with someone who has been where you are! Subscribe to our mailing list for event info and more. We will only use your information to notify you of opportunities that may interest you or to gather information on how we can shape our services to help more people with limb loss and limb difference.
