Our Power on Social Hour is held monthly, on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 6 PM Pacific Time on zoom. We're here to support one another, celebrate our wins, commiserate over our losses and help one another trouble shoot the ever-changing obstacles life throws at us.
February:
We will be joined by Ashley Engberg. A Certified Peer Visitor with the Amputee Coalition and part of a volunteer crew that cares for her local dog park. She has been a left leg amputee since she was 10 months old due to a complex congenital birth defect called proximal femoral focal deficiency. This has led her to experience a number of different prosthetics through the 90's into our current day. Ashley is passionate about the challenges amputees face and how we navigate them, the environment, exploring the outdoors, and community building. She's also an animal lover who plans to adopt and give sanctuary to senior dogs left in shelters in the future.
How to join online:
Currently this meeting takes place on zoom at 6 PM PST. The meeting is for amputees. Family and caregivers are also welcome. You can join the meeting by clicking here or visiting https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8987118613
