Our Power on Social Hour is held monthly, on the 4th Wednesday of every month at 6 PM Pacific Time. We're here to support one another, celebrate our wins, commiserate over our losses and help one another trouble shoot the ever-changing obstacles life throws at us.
This month will be our first Hybrid Event, so people can attend online or in person. See below for more information.
October’s Guest:
This month we'll be joined by Melisa Andrion, the Community Outreach and Volunteer Coordinator at Senior & Disability Services. Melisa will share her knowledge with us about new and existing resources that are available to us!
Senior and Disability Services strives to develop and provide a wide variety of services to meet the needs of older adults, age 60 and older and adults with physical disabilities age 18 and older in Lane County. Emphasis is placed on serving persons in economic and social need, including frail, vulnerable, functionally impaired, socially isolated, underserved, minority and economically disadvantaged persons. They also provide services to caregivers of older adults and adults with disabilities.
Melisa transferred to the newly created position in May 2022 after working as a Medicaid Case Manager for six years. She loves talking to people about programs and resources offered through Senior & Disability Services. She attends outreach events to share information and recruit volunteers from all over Lane County. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, photography, and being out in nature, especially when going to the beach.
Attend in person:
If you're local you can join us in person at Crescent Park Senior living at 2951 Coburg Rd from 6:00-7:30 PM. Refreshments will be provided.
